A Brief History

Vanson Cranes was established in 1981 as a tower crane rental contractor in Peterborough, with a small storage facility on the outskirts of the city. Initial activity was to hire cranes to UK building and civil engineering contractors. During the early years the company's activity quickly turned the main thrust towards sales, initially buying and selling used tower cranes in the United Kingdom and overseas.

In the late 1980's the company moved to its own site located 25 minutes north of Peterborough, 500 yards from the main A1 London/Edinburgh trunk road. This location now houses administration, sales, service, refurbishment and storage.

In today's market, the company's activities are based on tower crane operations of all types. Supplying a complete range of new and used tower cranes for the logistical, horizontal and vertical movement of materials and equipment on building projects, and in industrial applications from fish farms to factories to dock yards.
